The Tolono Fire Protection District (TFPD) is a volunteer/paid on call fire district located in Southern Champaign County in Illinois. Tolono Fire Protection District provides Fire, Rescue, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Emergency Management. The population Tolono Fire Protection District protects is approximately 3800 residents. We support many community educational events yearly including Fire Prevention Week and Tolono Fun Day. We have a current ISO Rating of 4/4Y.
The department operates 3 Engines, 1 Tender, 3 Command Vehicles, and 1 UTV. Tolono Fire Protection District provides all four levels of EMS Care from Emergency Medical Responder to EMT-Paramedic. Tolono Fire Protection District provides Emergency Management Agency (EMA) including storm spotting and traffic control.
